CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard field hockey coach
Tjerk van Herwaarden has announced the addition of six freshman for
the 2013 season; Marissa Balleza, Kyla Cordrey, Sarah Finnemore,
Annie Morefield, Sophie van Weede, Elizabeth Warner.
The six newcomers that represents both coasts of the United
States and both sides of the Atlantic Ocean will join a group of 18
returning players from last season.
"We are very excited to have this class join Harvard field
hockey," said Van Herwaarden. "The group is filled with bright
young women who will all excel and thrive in the environment that
Harvard offers to all their student-athletes. There is no doubt
that this incoming class will give our program a positive boost
from the first day they step on the field. Each of our incoming
students share a common passion for excelling in the sport of field
hockey, while having demanding and inspiring academics."
