Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium will be one of two home sites
for the Crimson this season (Harvard Athletic Communications).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's soccer
team will play 10 games on their home pitch as the 2013 men's
soccer schedule was announced Tuesday. 2013 marks Pieter
Lehrer's, the Virginia B. and James O. Welch, Jr. '52 Head
Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer, first season at the helm of the
Harvard men's soccer team.
The Crimson kicks off play Sept. 6 against Iona at Soldiers
Field Soccer Stadium before entertaining Davidson two days later on
Ohiri Field. Harvard's first road test comes at Providence
Sept. 12 and a home game against Lafayette follows Sept. 15. The
Crimson will travel to Connecticut to take on Hartford Sept. 20,
before a three-game home stretch featuring Massachusetts (Sept.
22), Boston University (Sept. 25) and St. Francis (Sept. 29).
Ivy play commences with a road test against archrival Yale Oct.
5. Harvard will travel to Ithaca, N.Y., to take on Cornell one week
later, and hosts its first home league game Oct. 19 against Brown.
A short road trip to Boston College occurs Oct. 22 before Harvard
hosts Princeton on Alumni Weekend Oct. 26. Dartmouth comes to
Cambridge Nov. 2 before the Crimson faces road tests in Holy Cross
(Nov. 6) and Columbia (Nov. 9). The regular season wraps up with a
home game against Penn Nov. 16.
The Crimson will face Iona, Boston University, Brown, Dartmouth
and Penn under the lights at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium, while
all other home contests will take place at Ohiri. For information
