CHUNGJU, South Korea – Two Harvard rowers
finished atop the podium for the USA at the 2013 World Rowing
Championships, as Olivia Coffey '11 earned a gold medal with the
women's four and Henrik Rummel '09 took bronze in the
men's four over the weekend.
Coffey and the W4- finished the course in 6:43.15 to best Canada
by just over four seconds. Rummel and the USA men's four
crossed the finish line in 6:15.46, just 1.51 seconds behind
first-place Netherlands.
Brendan Hodge '07 just missed the podium with Canada in the
lightweight men's pair, placing fourth (6:57.58).
Esther Lofgren '07-09 and the USA women's quadruple sculls
finished fifth in the final with a time of 6:50.79.
