CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Harvard men's basketball team saw its six-game win streak come to an end Sunday afternoon at No. 6/5 Virginia, 76-27.

Virginia improved to 11-0 with the win and moved its win streak at John Paul Jones Arena to 17 games dating back to last season. The Cavaliers, which entered the day ranked second in the nation in scoring defense and third in field goal percentage defense, limited Harvard (7-2) to both its lowest point total (27) and lowest field goal percentage (16.0) under head coach Tommy Amaker.

Corbin Miller was the Crimson's high scorer with eight points, including two 3-pointers. Steve Moundou-Missi contributed six points with Wesley Saunders and Zena Edosomwan each chipping in four.

Malcolm Brogdon and Mike Tobey scored a game-high 15 points with all 15 for Tobey coming in the first half. The Cavaliers finished the day shooting 59.6 percent (31-52) from the field and 6-of-11 from 3, and controlled the glass with a 45-25 rebounding advantage.

Virginia's defensive pressure kept Harvard off the scoreboard for a majority of the first half, holding the Crimson to just one field goal as it built a 39-8 halftime lead. Tobey carried the load offensively for the Cavaliers with 15 points on 6-of-6 shooting, including each of the team's first nine.

The Cavaliers did not let up in the second half and led by as much as 70-21 with 3:51 remaining. Miller knocked down a pair of three-pointers midway through the frame as Harvard tried to build momentum, but each time Virginia responded to maintain its margin.

Harvard returns to action Sunday, Dec. 28 at Arizona State. The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. EST tip off live on the PAC-12 Network.
