TEGUCIGULPA, Honduras – Four student-athletes from the Harvard men's basketball team are set to represent the United States in international competition this month at the FISU 3x3 Americas Cup in Honduras. Ben Eisendrath, Dutch Dowdell, Joseph Quartey and Ryan Sullivan make up the Crimson squad that will compete as the "USA Red" team in the tournament this month. Ivy League counterpart Yale is also sending a group of athletes to compete as the "USA Blue" team.
 
Held every two years, the tournament serves as the qualifier for the FISU 3x3 World Cup, which will be held in China in the Summer of 2027. The top two teams from the Americas Cup will qualify for the 2027 FISU World Cup, featuring over 125 student-athletes from 30-plus Central and South America countries.
 
The Crimson tour will run from May 17-29, 2026, beginning with a five-day training camp in Waco, Texas to prepare for competition, mission work, and cultural exchange. While in Honduras, the team will compete against 14 teams from 33 countries from Central and South America. They will build new relationships and experience new cultures.
