SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Harvard men's basketball team closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 66-57 win Tuesday night at Bryant.
Steve Moundou-Missi scored 15 points, including 11 in the second half, to lead the team to victory. Zena Edosomwan turned in a 13-point, eight-rebound performance while shooting 7-of-10 at the line, and Wesley Saunders added 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The Crimson finished the evening shooting 41.8 percent (23-55) from the field and 17-of-20 from the line. Bryant (8-8, 5-1 NEC), meanwhile, saw its four-game win streak come to an end after being limited to 32.7 percent (17-52) shooting and outscored 30-18 in the paint.
With the victory, Harvard improved to 11-4 overall and 10-4 in non-conference play, marking the second straight year and fifth time overall that the Crimson has posted at least 10 wins away from the Ivy League under head coach Tommy Amaker.

After a 1-of-9 start from the field, Corbin Miller's 3-pointer sparked a 9-0 run to give Harvard a 12-5 lead. The Crimson could not sustain the surge, however, as Bryant scored seven unanswered points to tie the game at 12. Saunders' highlight-reel dunk over Dan Garvin was part of a second 9-0 run to regain a 21-12 edge, and a 3 by Chambers put the score at 27-21 at the half.
Harvard shot just 33.3 percent (9-27) through the first 20 minutes but held Bryant to a 26.1 percent (6-23) clip for the lead. Harvard was also able to capitalize on the Bulldogs mistakes, scoring 11 points off 11 Bryant turnovers.
The Bulldogs opened the second half on a 17-9 run and took a 38-36 lead on Garvin's layup with 13:58 to play. Jonah Travis responded on the very next possession with an and-one to put the Crimson back in front, and Agunwa Okolie got to the rim for a 41-40 Harvard edge.
Chambers extended the margin to 51-45 from behind-the-arc, but Bryant was quick to answer and tied the score on Joe O'Shea's 3-pointer with 6:13 remaining, 53-53. With the score tied at 55, Moundou-Missi went hard to the basket and converted an and-one, giving the Crimson the lead for good as it closed the game with an 11-2 stretch.
