In the Polls
Harvard sits at No. 5 overall in the USRowing Collegiate Polls after opening the season in a tie for fourth with Yale. Cornell holds the top spot, followed by Columbia, Yale and Princeton.

The Haines Cup
Harvard owns seven-consecutive wins in the Haines Cup series with Navy, owning an all-time record of 42-7 in an event that started in 1958. Navy last won in 2008. Last season, the Crimson held on to the Haines Cup with a five-second win over Navy, also posting a win in the JV race.
Scouting Navy
The Mids rank sixth in this week's USRowing collegiate poll after sweeping Georgetown a week ago and earning the Foster Cup with a 10.7-second win over the Hoyas in the first varsity race. It marked the first win of the season for Navy. Navy is coached by Shawn Bagnall in his third season with the Mids. Last year, Navy finished eighth at the IRA National Championships.
Scouting Delaware
The Blue Hens competed at the Kerr Cup a week ago, winning the varsity four event and taking silver in the heavyweight varsity eight grand final. Head coach Chuck Crawford, the USRowing Collegiate Coach of the Year in 2015, has been at the helm of the Blue Hens since 2001. The Crimson leads the all-time series against the Blue Hens, 9-1.
Last Season
Harvard earned a bronze medal at the IRA National Championships a season ago, besting its fifth-place finish from Eastern Sprints and medaling for the seventh-straight year.
In the Launch
Michiel Bartman is in his third season as the Friends of Harvard Lightweight Rowing Coach for Men's Lightweight Crew after earning a bronze medal a season ago at the IRA National Championships. An Olympic champion, a three-time Olympic medalist and a 16-year coaching veteran, Bartman improved the Radcliffe lightweight women's performance in each of his first two seasons at Weld.
