Junior Mandela Patrick helped the Crimson extend its win streak to nine with a win at the No. 9 position against the Big Red Sunday (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 1 Harvard men's squash team won its ninth-straight match as it downed No. 11 Cornell at the Murr Center Squash Courts on Sunday afternoon.
Harvard (9-0, 5-0 Ivy) picked up where it left off after an 8-1 thrashing of No. 3 Columbia a day ago, continuing the longest winning streak since the 2013-14 Crimson won 18-straight.
The Crimson dominated throughout the match en route to eight victories by a 3-0 score.
Freshman Saadeldin Abouiash won his second match of the weekend as he moved to 7-2 overall at No. 1. Junior Madhav Dhingra picked up a win at No. 2, and freshman Timothy Brownell cruised to 9-0 in the No. 3 slot.
Freshman Sean Hughes collected his ninth win of the season at No. 5, while seniors Bryan Koh and Devin McLaughlin remained undefeated on the year with wins at No. 6 and No. 7 respectively.
Juniors David Ryan and Mandela Patrick tallied victories in their respective matches, and sophomore Alexi Gosset earned his sixth victory of the season at the No. 8 position.
The Crimson returns to the courts when it hosts Trinity on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 4 p.m.
