CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the first time in league history, the top four teams in the Ivy League will gather to play a conference tournament. Harvard men's squash will join the inaugural field this weekend at Princeton to compete for the 2026 Ivy League Tournament crown. The Crimson (7-3, 4-2 Ivy) earned the second seed in the tournament and will face off against third-seeded Princeton in the semifinal round. The match is set to take place on Saturday (Feb. 21) at 10:00 AM at Princeton's Squash Facility. All the matches will air live on the Ivy League Streaming Platform with live results also available via ClubLocker.
What to Know
A New Chapter
For the first time in Ivy League history, the conference will sponsor a Men's and Women's Squash Tournament. The tournament will see the top four teams in the league standings (Penn, Harvard, Princeton and Yale) compete in a four-team knockout style tournament. The semifinal matchups will be [1] Penn vs. [4] Yale and [2] Harvard vs. [3] Princeton. Both matches will be played simultaneously at 10:00 AM on Saturday with the winners advancing to the Championship match on Sunday (Feb. 22). The final is also set to begin at 10:00 AM.
Results and Records
- Alexander Broadbirdge leads the team with nine wins and a 9-1 overall record on the season. The first-year has recorded a 7-1 record from the sixth position on the Crimson ladder, his primary spot in the lineup.

Omar Azzam, Christian Capella and Ishant Shah have each recorded eight wins on the season. Azzam has posted a 6-2 mark from third position while Capella owns a 6-2 record in the four spot. Shah, who primarily plays in ninth on the ladder, carries a 7-1 record at the spot into the tournament.
- Senior captain Denis Gilevskiy recently moved up to the No. 1 position on the Crimson ladder and owns a 5-5 mark on the season.
Series History with the Tigers
In a rivalry that dates back to 1933, Harvard owns a favorable 66-30 record against Princeton. The Tigers have fought back in the series recently, earning three consecutive victories over Harvard, including a 5-4 victory in the previous match this season.
1,000 Wins for Harvard Men's Squash
The Harvard men's squash program celebrated its 1,000
th victory in program history recently after earning a 6-3 win over No. 4 Yale on senior day.
