PRINCETON, N.J. – The 2025-26 Harvard men's squash regular season came to a close this afternoon when the team competed against the Princeton Tigers in a tightly contests loss. The No. 2 Crimson (7-3, 4-2 Ivy) battled in the matchup but clutch wins in the final wave lifted the No. 8 Tigers (6-5, 4-2 Ivy) to the result. Harvard will now head into the Ivy League Tournament, where it will battle Yale in the semifinals.
How it Happened
The Tigers opened an early advantage in the match with two wins in the first wave of matches. Princeton took the wins at eights and threes before
Maddox Moxham put the first point on the board for the Crimson with a 3-1 win at fives, making the score 2-1 after the first trio of matches.
Harvard tied it up with two wins in the second wave.
Ishant Shah swept his opponent at nines and
Christian Capella posted a 3-1 win at fours. Princeton earned the win at twos to make the match 3-3 heading into the final wave.
Princeton clinched the win with wins at ones and sevens, winning the race to five. Harvard tallied the final victory of the match with
Alexander Broadbridge's 3-0 sweep at sixes. In the end it was the Tigers who came away with the 5-4 win as both teams will now head into the Ivy League Tournament next weekend.
