Watch: Harvard Men's Squash 2025-26 Season Recap

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard Men's Squash put together another strong season in 2025–26, finishing with an 10-5 record while emerging as one of the top teams in collegiate squash. Throughout the year, the team combined experienced leadership, depth throughout the lineup, and strong performances in both Ivy League and national competition.

The season began with convincing wins over Western Ontario, MIT, and Dartmouth, followed by an impressive road victory against No. 4 Virginia. Harvard opened the year with consistent performances across multiple courts and established itself early as one of the top teams in the country. As Ivy League play continued, Harvard earned strong home Ivy League wins over Columbia, Cornell, and Yale. The team continued to demonstrate depth throughout the lineup while competing in several close matches against nationally ranked opponents. The regular season also included challenging road matches against Penn and Princeton. Harvard competed closely in both contests, including a narrow 5–4 match against Princeton in the regular season finale. Those matches helped prepare the team for postseason competition later in the year.

At the inaugural Ivy League Squash Tournament, Harvard responded with one of its strongest performances of the season, defeating Princeton 8–1 in the semifinal round to advance to the championship match, where it would narrowly fall in a highly competitive Championship match to Penn. The team moved on to compete at the CSA Team National Championships. After opening the tournament with a win over No. 6 Columbia, the Crimson exacted revenge on No. 2 Penn, flipping the score in an Ivy League Championship rematch to defeat the Quakers and advance to the National Championship match. Harvard battled throughout the championship match against No. 1 before finishing as national runner-up in one of the strongest team performances of the season.

Harvard collected a number of impressive individual awards during the season. First Year Christian Capella was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and a Second Team All-American after posting a 12-3 record in his first collegiate season. Junior Omar Azzam was honored with a First Team All-America selection while senior captains David Costales and Denis Gilevskiy landed on the CSA All-America Second Team.

The 2025–26 season reflected Harvard Men's Squash's consistency, competitiveness, and continued growth against some of the top programs in the country. With strong performances throughout the season and valuable experience gained in postseason play, the program continues to build toward the future.
