CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- Harvard softball is set to host its Crimson Winter High School Clinic for highly motivated high school athletes who have aspirations of playing softball at the collegiate level. The Winter Clinic will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Harvard Football Stadium Bubble.
Led by Harvard softball staff and current student-athletes, players will participate in skill development and instruction and games. Crimson softball clinics at Harvard offer an opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental skills of softball. Taught through the examples of Crimson coaches, athletes will be made aware of the characteristics that define successful softball players, including general courtesy, respect for teammates and opponents and the importance of hard work. Organized games between athletes will provide a competitive outlet after specific drills have been practiced. Lunch will be provided at camp as well as a question and answer opportunity with current Harvard student-athletes.
In addition to clinic, the Crimson Coaches will host a post- clinic seminar. This seminar will include mental-game coaching, a conversation about nutrition and a session on goal setting. This seminar will be hosted from 5-7pm in the Murr Center on the 3rd floor in the lounge. It is open to any and all entrants who would like to elevate their mental game and off-field approach.
