Women's Basketball Hosts Columbia and Cornell for Final Home Contests, Set to Honor Class of 2020

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Returning to Lavietes Pavilion for its final two home contests of the regular season, the Harvard women's basketball team (14-9, 5-5 Ivy League) will host Columbia and Cornell, Feb. 28-29. Game times are slated for 7 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively, and will both be broadcast on ESPN+. Prior to tip-off against the Big Red on Saturday, the Crimson will honor the Class of 2020.

What to Know
- Harvard moved to 14-9 overall and 5-5 in Ivy League play after dropping its contests to Princeton (L, 66-45) and Penn (L, 70-48) last week. The Crimson currently sits fifth in the Ivy League standings heading into the final two weekends of regular season play.
- Dominating the Ivy League defensive stats, Harvard ranks first in offensive and defensive rebounds, averaging 43.0 and 28.6 to top the standings, respectively. Boehm leads the league and the Crimson in rebounding as well, averaging 9.0 per game. Harvard has four players in the top 20 of the conference in rebounds.
- First-year Mullaney continues to lead the Crimson's offense, averaging 14.6 points per game to top Harvard's line up and place seventh in the Ivy League rankings. Mullaney has been prolific from three-point range, averaging 3.0 made triples per game to lead the conference. She has now reached double figures in 18 games this season, including 11 of the last 12.
- Taking advantage of home court, the Crimson boasts an 8-2 record at Lavietes Pavilion this season.
- Columbia enters the weekend one spot above the Crimson in fourth in the Ivy League standings with a 6-4 conference mark and 15-8 overall record. Harvard fell earlier this season to the Lions, 89-64.
- Cornell sits below the Crimson in the conference standings in sixth with a 2-8 league mark and 8-15 overall record. Harvard will look to take the season series from the Big Red, previously securing a 73-58 victory earlier this month.

Leading the Way
The Friends of Harvard Women's Basketball Head Coach Kathy Delaney-Smith returns for her 38th season at the helm of the program after leading the Crimson to its fourth-straight, and ninth in the last 11 years, WNIT appearance last season. The winningest coach in Ivy League basketball history with 602 career victories, head coach Kathy Delaney-Smith passed former Princeton head coach Pete Carril (514) for most wins by an Ancient Eight coach on either the men's or women's side during the 2013-14 season.

Harvard will wrap up the regular season on the road at Brown and Yale, March 6-7. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively, and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
