CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a road matchup just one mile from campus, No. 2 Harvard men's squash (3-0) posted its third victory of the 2021-22 season, beating neighboring MIT (3-2), 9-0, on Wednesday afternoon.
It was the 36th consecutive victory for the Crimson, who have won all three of its matches on the year by a score of 9-0.
George Crowne clinched the victory for Harvard, securing the fifth point by defeating MIT's Tom Hogan. The Crimson would go on to claim the remaining four matches to complete the sweep.
Harvard Highlights
- Harvard dropped just two games total across the nine matches. Through its first three contests this season, the Crimson are outscoring opponents 81-3.
- The win is the 36th in a row for the Crimson, a streak which dates back to the beginning of the 2018-19 season.
- The Crimson now leads the all-time series against the Engineers, 57-2, its last loss coming back in 1955.
- George Crowne, Liam Rotzoll, Tate Harms and Neel Joshi have appeared in Harvard's starting lineup in all three matches this season.
