CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming off its first win of the season and home opener last weekend, the Harvard women's basketball team (1-2, 0-0 Ivy League) will look to continue its momentum this weekend taking on Rutgers. The Crimson and Scarlet Knights will face off on Friday, Nov. 19 for a 7 p.m. tip-off. The contest will be broadcast on RVision.

- Harvard picked up its first win of the season in its home opener last weekend. The Crimson took down Northern Illinois, 70-53, to move to 1-2 on the season. Three Harvard players posted double-digit points, including
Maggie McCarthy (16),
McKenzie Forbes (15) and
Lola Mullaney (10). On Friday night, the Crimson battled UMass to a closely contested 80-71 loss.
- The Crimson has now won each of its last five home openers at Lavietes Pavilion.

McKenzie Forbes made an impact in her first two games of the season last weekend. In her season debut with the Crimson, Forbes posted 20 points to lead Harvard's offense at UMass. The junior nearly had a triple-double, also adding eight rebounds and seven assists to her tally. Forbes followed that performance up recording 15 points against Northern Illinois in the Crimson's home opener.
- Harvard has secured four spots in the top-25 Ivy League rankings for scoring average, led by
Lola Mullaney in eighth with 13.3 points per game.
Tess Sussman (21st, 9.7ppg),
Maggie McCarthy (T-22nd, 8.7ppg) and
Harmoni Turner (T-22nd, 8.7ppg) round out the list for the Crimson.
- Rutgers holds a 5-0 advantage over Harvard in its all-time series dating back to 2002. The Scarlet Knights previously bested the Crimson on their home court, 74-46, in 2019.

Kathy Delaney-Smith returns for her 40th season at the helm of the program. The winningest coach in Ivy League basketball history with 617 career victories, Delaney-Smith passed former Princeton head coach Pete Carril (514) for most wins by an Ancient Eight coach on either the men's or women's side during the 2013-14 season. Delaney-Smith owns a 617-421 overall record with a 360-159 mark in Ivy League play, including 12 20-win seasons, 11 Ivy titles and 15 postseason appearances.
