Ledlum Named Ivy League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard men's basketball forward Chris Ledlum has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. The award is the first of the season for the Crimson and the first of the junior's career after he was the conference's rookie of the week five times in 2019-20.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Ledlum led the team with 16.3 points and 10.0 rebounds over three games, while tying for team-high honors in three-point makes (8) and three-point field-goal percentage (.571). He also ranked second on the team in assists (2.0), steals (2.0) and field goals (18).

Ledlum opened last week with 16 points, a team-high six rebounds, two assists, one blocked shot and two steals at Siena before going on a double-double binge. In Harvard's home win vs. Colgate, the forward posted 16 points and a game-high 12 boards, while adding two assists and two steals in 35 minutes. In the second half alone, he logged 14 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3FG), six rebounds, two assists and two steals to aid the team's successful 16-point rally.

Three days later vs. crosstown foe Northeastern, Ledlum went for 17 points and had a game-high 12 rebounds to go with two assists and two steals. He single-handily kept the Crimson in the game in the first half, recording eight points and seven rebounds in what ended in a 77-57 victory. His effort vs. the Huskies helped him become the first Harvard player to record consecutive double-doubles since Seth Towns in March 2018.

First-year Louis Lesmond, meanwhile, was named to the Ivy League's weekly Honor Roll.

Ledlum, Lesmond and the Crimson return to action on Wednesday when Rhode Island visits Lavietes Pavilion for a 7 p.m. ET game that will air on ESPN+. Tickets are available at tickets.gocrimson.com.
