Women’s Basketball Unveils Class of 2025

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Welcoming a talented and highly accomplished group of first-years to Cambridge this fall, the Friends of Harvard Women's Basketball Head Coach Kathy Delany-Smith has announced the program's incoming Class of 2025: Savanna Coffel, Gracie Martin, Elena Rodriguez, Elle Stauffer and Harmoni Turner.
 
The five-member class features two forwards and three guards, and hails from Maine, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Spain. The first-years are set to be joined by 12 returning letterwinners, including leading scorers Lola Mullaney, Tess Sussman and Maggie McCarthy. In its most recent season in 2019-20, the Crimson finished its non-conference schedule with a record of 9-4, the team's best mark since the 2016-17 season. Harvard will look to return to the top of the Ivy League standings in the 2021-22 season.

Coach Delaney-Smith on Savanna: "Savanna is an extremely talented forward. She has the ability to stretch the floor on offense to the three-point line, as well as dominating the paint rebounding and blocking shots on the defensive end of the floor."

Four-year letterwinner at Germantown … Served as captain senior year … 2020 McDonalds All-American nominee … Named to the First Team All-Inter Academic League in 2018 and 2019 … Named the Inter Academic League MVP in 2019 … Received 2019 All-State PA Second Team honors … Named to the 2019 Philadelphia Inquirer All-South East First Team … PAISAA State Champion in 2019 and semifinalist in 2017 … Played AAU for Philadelphia Comets … Also a four-year letterwinner in water polo at Germantown … Three-year Honor Roll recipient.

Led IES Joaquin Artiles to Nationals five times … Named tournament MVP and led Spar Gran Canaria U16 team to fifth-place finish at Spanish Champs U16 … Selected to the Spanish National Team … Led Spanish National Team to first-place finish in Memorial Juan Mena Tournament and third-place finish at the FIBA U16 European Championship … Competed in several international tournaments, including earning the Spanish U15 NT Gold Medal … Won eight regional championship with Islas Canarias.

Four-year letterwinner and starter at Mansfield Legacy … Four-time captain … Named to the All-State First Team in 2018-19 and All-Region and All-District First Team from 2016-19 … Named MVP (2019) and Offensive/Defensive Player of the Year (2018) … Holds 14 school records including most points, rebounds and assists in a career … Member of the 2,000 points club … Qualified for the 16U and 17U Junior Olympic Trials … Named to the Academic All-District and All-State Team … Played AAU for DFW Elite … Also a four-year letterwinner in cross country and track at Mansfield Legacy … National Honor Society member … Member of the Key, Debate and DECA clubs.
