CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Friends of Harvard Women's Basketball Head Coach
Kathy Delaney-Smith has unveiled the program's 2020-21 schedule today, August 12. The 27-game slate features 10 home contests, 14 Ivy League affairs and 17 games broadcast on ESPN+.
Harvard will open its 2020-21 campaign on the road with local trips to Boston College on Tuesday, Nov. 9 and UMass Amherst on Friday, Nov. 12. The Crimson will return to Cambridge for its home opener against Northern Illinois on Sunday, Nov. 14, before hitting the road again to face Rutgers on Friday, Nov. 19 and Rhode Island on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
Returning to the friendly confines of Lavietes Pavilion, Harvard will host Boston University on Saturday, Nov. 27 and Merrimack on Tuesday, Nov. 30. The Crimson will then embark on a nine-game road swing, beginning with a trip to Arizona State for a pair of games in the ASU Tournament, Dec. 3-4.
Taking a short trip down the road to Northeastern for a match up on Sunday, Dec. 19, Harvard will then make the trek to Colgate on Tuesday, Dec. 21. The Crimson will wrap up its non-conference slate in Philadelphia at the St. Joe's Tournament, Dec. 28-29, for its final tune-up before Ivy League action.
Harvard will begin conference play with a visit to Princeton on Jan. 2 for its Ivy League opener. The Crimson will hit the road the following weekend as well to continue Ancient Eight action at Brown and Yale, Jan. 7-8.
Beginning a three-game homestand, Harvard will welcome Columbia (Jan. 15), Dartmouth (Jan. 17) and Cornell (Jan. 22) to Lavietes Pavilion. The Crimson will battle Penn on the road on Jan. 29, before returning back home for three-straight against Brown (Feb. 4), Yale (Feb. 5) and Penn (Feb. 12).
League play continues on the road against Columbia and Cornell the weekend of Feb. 18-19. Harvard will host its final home game of the regular season against Princeton on Feb. 26 and conclude its season with an away matchup at Dartmouth on March 5.
The 2021-22 Ivy League Tournament will be held in Cambridge at Lavietes Pavilion from March 11-13, featuring the top four men's and women's teams from the regular season.
