OAKMONT, Pa. – Rising sophomore Brian Ma of the Harvard men's golf team posted a strong showing at the 2021 U.S. Amateur Championship held at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa. Aug. 9-15.
 
Ma finished second in the stroke play portion of the event among an elite field of 312 golfers. Playing both the historic Oakmont Country Club along with stroke play co-host, the Longue Vue Club, Ma, 20, carded rounds of 65-68 for a 36-hole total of 7-under-par 133. The Milpitas, Calif.  native earned the second overall seed in the tournament's match-play, where he was eventually defeated in the round of 64.
