Box Score HAMDEN, Conn. – The Harvard men's soccer team (1-2-1) was edged Quinnipiac (5-0-0) on Saturday afternoon by a 1-0 score.
Despite an active first half, neither team was able to capitalize at the net. The Crimson's closest attempt came in the 31st minute when
Marko Isakovic fired a shot on a free kick from the right of the 18-yard box. Through 45 minutes, Harvard's defense denied six of seven shots with
Oskar Nilsson tallying one save while the offense put two shots on target at the other end of the field.
Early on the back end, Quinnipiac got itself on the board from inside the 18-yard box with a shot into the top left corner of the net. Harvard continued pressure through the second half, including firing multiple shots in the final two minutes in an attempt to force overtime, but was unsuccessful.
