Josh Shapiro, The Virginia B. and James O. Welch, Jr. '52 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer, will make his coaching debut with the Crimson after the 2020 campaign was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021 campaign marks
Josh Shapiro's second season and first on the field as The Virginia B. and James O. Welch, Jr. '52 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer. Prior to joining Harvard in January 2020, Shapiro led the Tufts men's soccer program for 10 years, winning four DIII National Championships in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2019.

The Crimson will remain on the road next Saturday, Sept. 11 at Bryant. Harvard's home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 14 against Northeastern. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Jordan Field and the contest will air on NESN.
