Box Score NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The Harvard men's soccer team (1-0-0) began a new chapter for the program with a 4-0 win over Central Connecticut State University (0-3-0) this afternoon in New Britain, Conn.
Five student-athletes earned points in today's contest, including
Alessandro Arlotti and
Nik White who scored their first career goals with Harvard.
The Crimson wasted no time after almost two years off the field when Arlotti, a first-year, scored a header from
Cornelius Bencsik in the second minute of action. Not five minutes later did Harvard make its way up the field to make it 2-0 Crimson on
Martin Vician's boot from right out front.
Duncan Sutherland sent the Crimson into halftime with a 3-0 lead when he tucked the ball under the crossbar from 12 yards out in the 44th minute.
Under increasingly heavy rain during the second half, Harvard held the pressure to allow
Nik White to secure his first career score off a corner in the 71st minute, sealing the win at 4-0.
