STANFORD, Calif. – First-year
Amy Wotovich placed second in 1-meter diving to lead Harvard University women's swimming and diving in a pair of diving events against No. 4 Stanford University on Wednesday afternoon at the Maas Diving Center at the Avery Aquatic Center.
Wotovich scored a 286.95 in the 1-meter event, recording the Crimson's top score in the event this season. She eclipsed the NCAA standard marks in both the 1-meter and 3-meer events on the day.
First-year
Remi Edvalson took third in the 1-meter, notching a 286.43 and beating the NCAA standard score. Sophomore
Elizabeth Miclau posted the Crimson's top score in 3-meter diving with a 297.68 for fourth place, eclipsing the NCAA standard.
Harvard Highlights
- First-year Amy Wotovich placed second in 1-meter diving with a 286.95, tallying the Crimson's top score on the event this season and topping her own season-high mark of 286.88. First-year Remi Edvalson followed closely with a 286.43 for third place. Both student-athletes beat the NCAA standard score of 265.
- Senior Morgane Herculano (258.83, seventh), junior Evie Geier (258.43, eighth), and first-year Katie Laverty (258.45, ninth) came in behind that pair in the 1-meter event.
- Senior Georgina Milne (255.30, 10th), sophomore Elizabeth Miclau (254.48, 11th), senior Esther Lawrence (226.58), and sophomore Rey Chin (215.63, 13th) rounded out Harvard's student-athletes in the 1-meter.
- In 3-meter diving, sophomore Elizabeth Miclau paced the Crimson with a score of 297.68 for fourth place. First-year Amy Wotovich supported her with a 280.50 for sixth place. Both Miclau and Wotovich topped the NCAA standard mark of 280.
- Also competing in 3-meter diving, first-year Remi Edvalson (279.23) and first-year Katie Laverty (279.08) followed closely in seventh and eighth.
- Senior Esther Lawrence (272.63, ninth), senior Georgina Milne (268.58, 10th), senior Morgane Herculano (249.90, 11th), sophomore Rey Chin (208.65, 12th), and junior Evie Geier (193.28, 13th) rounded out the Crimson's competitors in 3-meter diving.
