PRINCETON, N.J. – For the third-straight week, first-year Harmoni Turner of the Harvard women's basketball team has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference this afternoon. Turner now has three Rookie of the Week honors under her belt, as well as one conference Player of the Week accolade in her first season with the Crimson.

Turner recorded 20 or more points in back-to-back games for Harvard last week. The first-year guard posted a career-high and team-best 25 points in the Crimson's 73-70 win at Saint Joseph's last Tuesday. Turner shot 10-for-16 from the field (.625) and 4-for-6 on three-pointers (.667), her highest percentages of the season. The Mansfield, Texas native also added four assists and six rebounds to her tally.

Following up her impressive performance at Saint Joe's, Turner registered her second double-double of her career against Princeton on Sunday. Netting a team-high 20 points and 11 rebounds, Turner led the Crimson in scoring for the fourth-straight game. The first-year has now notched double-digit points in 10 games this season, including eight-straight.

Making her mark in the league standings, Turner now sits in fourth in scoring average in the conference with 14.8 points per game and in 10th in rebounding with 6.2 boards per game.

Turner and the Crimson return to league action this weekend, Jan. 7-8, with a trip to Brown and Yale.
