CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 1 Harvard men's squash (1-0, 0-0 Ivy) began their 2022-23 campaign in dominated fashion by defeating No. 10 Rochester (0-1, 0-0 Liberty League), 9-0 this afternoon at the Murr Squash Center.
In his first collegiate match,
Ishant Shah clinched the win for the Crimson with his 3-0 (11-9, 11-4, 11-1) victory over Quinlan Jeudy (Rochester).
Harvard Highlights/Game Notes
- Harvard earned 3-0 sweeps in eight out of nine matches.
- Tate Harms and Ayush Menon tied for the least number of points allowed for the Crimson, both only dropping six points throughout three games.
- Ido Burstein closed out the day for the Crimson with a thrilling five game match. After winning the first two games (11-6, 11-6), Burstein dropped the next two (3-11, 12-14) but was able to secure the tight final game (11-9) to secure the Harvard sweep.
- The Crimson now lead the series against Rochester 14-5 having won the last six meetings.
