KANSIS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 30, 2022) – Following her terrific 2022 campaign, Harvard women's soccer sophomore,
Hannah Bebar, was named a semi-finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, given annually to the most outstanding women's soccer student-athlete. Bebar, a midfielder and a unanimous selection to the All-Ivy League First-Team, was one of only 15 players in the nation to earn semi-finalist status.

The Naperville, Ill. native was stellar all season long, playing in 13 games and recording points in 11 of those contests. The midfielder led the team with 20 points on six goals and eight assists in the regular season. Her .62 assists per game was good for seventh-best in the nation while her total assists (8) and total points (20) marks were both top 25 in the country. Her assist mark was also tied for the 14th highest total in program history. She finished top-six in the Ivy League in every offensive metric in 2022 to walk away with her second straight First-Team All-Ivy and United Soccer Coaches First-Team All-District honors.
Bebar played a crucial role in helping the Crimson reach the NCAA Tournament for a second straight season, helping the team earn a top-32 seed and a home game in the first round of the tournament, as well.
The United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) announced the 15 women's semifinalists for the 2022 MAC Hermann Trophy, based on voting by NCAA Division I women's soccer coaches.
The MAC Hermann Trophy is the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer and has been awarded annually since 1967. Bebar is just the third student-athlete in program history to earn semifinalist consideration and the first since Margaret "Midge" Purce '17 in 2016. Emily Stauffer '98-99 was a finalist for the award in the 1999 season.
Three women's finalists will be named for the award on Wednesday, Dec. 7. The 2022 MAC Hermann Trophy banquet will be held at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis on Jan. 6, 2023 to formally announce this year's winners.
