CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore guard
Harmoni Turner of Mansfield, Texas was named Ivy League Co-Player of the Week today (Dec. 5) after putting up 27 and 22 points in last week's games.
This week's award comes after an outstanding week of play from Turner, in which she lead the team in points for her fifth and sixth games so far this season, scoring 27 on Wednesday against UMass Lowell and 22 on Saturday against Colgate. Turner also lead the Crimson in assists with five, reported four rebounds and shot five for five in free throws versus UMass Lowell. She once again lead in assists (four) and added four steals and four rebounds against Colgate.
After nine games, Turner is averaging 19.3 points per game to put her first in the Ivy League in the metric and 37th in the nation.
Harmoni Turner and the Harvard women's basketball team (5-4) will travel to Northeastern on Monday, Dec. 5 to face off against the Huskies at 5 p.m. The game will be streamed on NESN+ and FloHoops.
