CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --- Harvard women's water polo has released its 2023 schedule on Wednesday as the Crimson look to build on a successful 2022 season. Harvard will travel across the country as part of its 30-game season with the Crimson heading on trips to Indiana, California, Arizona, and Michigan in addition to its regular CWPA travel schedule. The Crimson will play 13 games at Blodgett Pool this season.
To open the season the Crimson travels to Bloomington, Indiana for the Indiana University Invite where the team will play four games over the weekend of Jan 28-29. To open the season Harvard faces off against Cal State East Bay and Indiana University on Jan. 28 before matchups with Villanova and McKendree University on Sunday to close on its time in Indiana.
To open the season at Blodgett Pool the program will host the Bruno classic over another four-game weekend on Feb 4-5. Kicking off the tournament on Saturday the Crimson will host Marist College and La Salle University before playing Pomona-Pitzer and LIU on Sunday to close out the first homestand of the season.
The Crimson then open its 2022 CWPA schedule at the Princeton invite with a matchup against Princeton before closing the Saturday doubleheader with Iona College on Feb. 25.
As part of a five-game weekend to start the month of March the Crimson will host the Harvard Invite on March 4-5. Opening the weekend with a CWPA regular season matchup against Brown on Mar. 3 the Crimson open the Harvard Invite with Wagner College and the University of the Redlands on Saturday before facing off against CSUN and a rematch with La Salle University to wrap up the tournament season at Blodgett Pool.
Harvard then will travel to Arizona for the ASU Invitational on Mar. 11-12. The Crimson will face off against Arizona State University, Marist College, and Salem University before heading to California for another three games before returning home.
In the program's only trip to California, this season Harvard will play the University of California Berkeley on Mar. 15 before a doubleheader in Santa Clara that will see the Crimson play the University of the Pacific and Santa Clara University before returning home.
For the first time in 27 days, the Crimson returns to Blodgett Pool for a four-game weekend. Opening the weekend with Michigan and Bucknell on Saturday, Apr. 1 before facing off against Saint Francis and Princeton on Sunday, Apr. 2 in a big weekend in conference play.
Harvard will then travel to Michigan for another big weekend of CWPA conference play with four games in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Crimson opens the trip with Bucknell and Saint Francis Saturday, Apr. 15 before finishing the trip with another tilt with Michigan on Sunday, Apr. 16.
In the final regular season game of the season, Harvard will travel to Brown on Apr. 22 as the final test before the CWPA playoffs begin.
In postseason play the Crimson will head to Princeton, NJ for the CPWA playoffs over Apr 28-30.
