Adam Wesson placed sixth in the 1-meter competition at the 2022 NCAA Zone A Diving Championship on Tuesday at the U.S. Naval Academy's Lejeune Hall, following his NCAA qualifying effort in the 3-meter on the first day of the event on Monday.
A native of Morgan Hill, Calif., Wesson finished in sixth place in the finals round with a total score of 657.20, posting a 323.10 in the finals. Wesson tallied a 334.10 in the prelims for third place in that round.

Hal Watts joined Wesson in the finals behind a top-18 finish in the prelims. Watts came in 12
th in the prelims with a 312.30. He followed that with a combined score of 610.55 for 12
th place in the finals round, scoring a 298.25 in the six-dive finals.
On Monday, Wesson punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships behind a second-place finish in the 3-meter event with a score of 722.90.
Scores on all dives in the prelims and the finals were used to determine finals placing. The top-four finishers in the finals advanced to the NCAA Championships.
