CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 8 Harvard Men's Lightweight Rowing team placed second in the Biglin Bowl race, defeating No. 11 MIT but falling to No. 9 Dartmouth by less than six seconds. After falling behind early, the Crimson nearly chased down the Big Green crew, but its comeback fell just short as Dartmouth claimed only its fifth ever Biglin Bowl victory.
The second varsity crew took down both opponents in its race, cruising to a 6.2-second win on the Charles River. The third varsity crew also reported a convincing 29-second win over Dartmouth and MIT, posting a time of 7:38.0 in its race. The fourth varsity crew was narrowly defeated in its battle, falling by less than two seconds in the first event of the day.
