No. 14 Men’s Tennis Selected to Host Opening Rounds of NCAA Tournament, Faces Monmouth Friday

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Qualifying for NCAA Championship postseason play for the 27th time in program history, the No. 14 Harvard men's tennis team (18-4, 7-0 Ivy League) has been selected to host the opening rounds of the 2022 NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament, as announced by the organization at the NCAA Selection Show tonight, May 2. The Crimson will welcome Monmouth, Mississippi State and Stanford to Cambridge this weekend, May 6-7.
 
The Crimson will host Monmouth in the first round of the Tournament at the Beren Tennis Center this Friday, May 6 at 2 p.m. The winner of the match will go on to face the winner of Stanford vs. Mississippi State, which is set for 11 a.m. on Friday. The second round will take place Saturday, May 7 at 2 p.m.
 
Harvard earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament after finishing the regular season ranked 14th in the nation with an 18-4 overall record and 7-0 Ivy League mark. The Crimson claimed the Ivy League championship title for the 31st time in program history after securing its unbeaten league record. Harvard last advanced to the NCAA tournament in 2019 where it fell to No. 10 TCU in the opening round, 4-1.
