WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Harvard Heavyweight Rowing team kicked off the IRA National Championships with three top-three finishes amongst it's three varsity eight crews. The 2V boat, stroked by Matthias Fischer, claimed victory in its heat to send the crew to the AB semifinal tomorrow. The 1V and 2V crews both finished in second-place to also advance to the AB semifinal round.
The program also raced a varsity four boat this morning in a time-trial run. The crew placed 11th in the race and will advance to the ABC semifinal (top-18 boats) in tomorrow's competition.

IRA National Championship competition continues tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM est. The 1V will row at 8:40 AM and will be followed by the 2V at 9:00 AM and the 3V at 9:20 AM.
