WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Harvard Heavies finished up competition at the IRA National Championships with a sixth-place finish in the varsity eight grand final. The 2V and 3V Crimson crews performed well in their finals, finishing first and second in their respective races.
The 3V crew kicked off the final day of action on Mercer Lake with a second-place finish in the grand final. The boat, stroked by
Patrick Plunkett, posted a time of 5:57.717 finishing just three seconds off the leading pace.
The 2V crew cruised to a victory in the petite final, recording a time of 6:02.389. The boat won the race by nearly five seconds to close out the 2k race season.
The varsity eight boat posted a time of 5:56.147 to close out the weekend of racing with a sixth-place finish.
