CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 14 Harvard men's water polo travels to Davis, California this weekend for four games at the Aggie Round Up. The Crimson begins its road trip with a pair of games on Saturday against No. 2 UCLA at 5:15 p.m. ET (2:15 p.m. PT), and Occidental College at 10:15 p.m. ET (7:15 p.m. PT). The Crimson finishes the Aggie Round Up with two more games on Sunday against No. 5 University of the Pacific at 1:30 p.m. ET (10:30 a.m. PT) and No. 12 UC Irvine at 4:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. PT). All games will be streamed on YouTube by UC Davis.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Harvard opened the year ranked No. 16 by the Collegiate Water Polo Association. After going 3-1 at the Bruno Classic, the Crimson jumped two spots to No. 14 on the national rankings.
- The Crimson began the season by going 3-1 at the Bruno Classic with wins over No. 17 Fordham, Austin College, and No. 13 California Baptist University.
- First-year James Rozolis-Hill won NWPC Rookie of the Week after tallying 15 goals throughout the season opening tournament.
- Gabe Putnam comes into the Aggie Round Up after netting eight goals over his last four games.
- Andrej Basica got his season started by finding the back of the net five times.
- Goalie Noah Hodge recorded 30 saves in three games.
- Last season's assist leader Michael Sonsini tallied eight assists throughout the opening weekend.
- The Crimson has an all-time record of 0-2 against UCLA, an all-time record of 2-0 against Occidental College, an all-time record of 5-0 against the University of the Pacific, and an all-time record of 6-6 against UC Davis.
NEXT UP
After returning from California the Crimson travels to New York and New jersey to start NWPC play with three games over Oct. 1 and 2. Harvard plays Iona College on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. before traveling to Brooklyn for a matchup against rival No. 19 St. Francis College at 5:00 p.m. The Crimson then plays No. 11 Princeton at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday to wrap up their road trip.
