FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Harvard men's volleyball dropped a nonconference tilt to the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastadons today after falling in the match, 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Harvard battled at the beginning of the match, keeping the first set close thanks in part to a pair of kills from Zach Berty.
- PFW took a 12-7 lead midway through the set to force a Crimson timeout.
- Kade McGovern went on a tear late in the set as the Crimson mounted a comeback attempt. He racked up five kills to bring the Crimson within four points at 20-16.
- Berty followed up with three points of his own late in the set to bring Harvard within one point as the score read 24-23.
- PFW was able to close out the set to take a 1-0 lead over the Crimson with a 25-23 first set victory.

- Harvard started strong in the second set, getting a pair of points off PFW errors alogn with kills from Berty and Schultz while James Bardin also chipped in with a service ace to give Harvard a 5-2 lead early on.
- Seven PFW errors in the second set kept the lead in Harvard's hands late in the set, 20-19.
- McGovern and Schultz added kills late, but PFW closed the door on the Crimson once again winning the second set, 25-23.

- PFW took a quick 6-2 lead in the third set. Kade McGovern and Ethan Smith registered the lone kills for the Crimson in the stretch.
- Â Trevor Schultz landed three straight kills for Harvard to make the score 10-8.
- Berty had another trio of kills late in the set, but Harvard could not complete the rally, falling in the third set, 25-19.
Harvard Highlights
- Kade McGovern led the Crimson with 11.5 points on the day and 11 kills.
- Zach Berty (11 kills) and Trevor Schultz (9.5 kills) also had solid outings over the net.
- Schultz registered a team-high .800 hitting percentage with eight kills on 10 total attacks.
- Schultz, James Bardin and Ethan Smith each had a trio of block assists.
- Bardin also notched a service ace in the match and led the team with 33 assists.
- Logan Shephard led the defensive effort with eight digs.
