CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's swimming and diving team will play host to the annual H-Y-P (Harvard-Yale-Princeton) meet at Blodgett Pool. The action on Friday is set for 6 p.m. ET, with Saturday's competition scheduled for a noon ET start. Both days will air live on ESPN+.
This weekend's meet features the top three teams in the Ivy League with Harvard coming in with a flawless 5-0 conference record. Yale and Princeton, meanwhile, are both 4-1 with each of their losses coming to Columbia.
What to Know
- Harvard enters the final head-to-head matchups of the regular season with a 5-0 record (5-0 Ivy League) after defeating Brown (168-130) and Penn (193-106) on the road last week.
- The double-dual meet represents the Crimson's final appearance of the season at Blodgett Pool and marks its first since taking down Columbia, 168-132, back on Nov. 18. The Lions are currently receiving votes in the CSCAA top-25 rankings.
- This weekend's competition will also represent the final home meet for seniors Umitcan Gures, Simon Lamar, Ryan Linnihan and Jared Simpson.
- Yale makes the trip to Cambridge with a 6-1 record (4-1 Ivy) and winners of four straight dual meets. The Bulldogs are fresh off a home sweep of Dartmouth (228-72) and Penn (200-100) on Jan. 14.
- Princeton, which is receiving votes in the latest CSCAA top-25 poll, heads to New England with a 6-2 mark (4-1 Ivy). The Tigers are coming off split weekend in Annapolis, Maryland, defeating Navy (252-101) and falling to Notre Dame (208-145).
