REHOBOTH BEACH, N.J. – Harvard women's golf reclaimed the Lady Blue Hen Invitational trophy with a stellar performance at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club this weekend. The Crimson, led by seniors Isabella Gomez and Meiyi Yan, posted a final team score of 14-over-par, winning the tournament by six strokes and securing its first tournament victory of the Fall season.
 
Positioned in third place after the first two rounds, the Crimson flew up the leaderboards on day two of the tournament, posting a tournament low team score of 280 in the final round to finish in first place overall. The eight-under-par team score of 280 (-8) in the final round was a season best for the Crimson and was the lowest for any team in the field by 11 strokes. The 280 was also tied for the third lowest round for the team in program history.
 
Isabella Gomez had the best individual performance of the weekend, finishing tied for fourth after a season-low 67 (-5) in the final round. Gomez was tied for 17^th (72-80) in the field after 36 holes and rose 13 spots in the leaderboard with her 67 in the third round.
 
Bridget Ma also had a strong showing in the tournament, finishing tied for ninth place with score of four-over-par (74, 73, 73). Iris Wang wasn't far behind Ma, posting a score of five-over-par (74, 76, 71). Senior captain, Meiyi Yan, also finished in the top-15 with a six-over-par finish (79, 73, 70) that included a two-under in the final round.
 
First-year Bonnie Zhai rounded out the scoring for Harvard with a T-26 finish and a score of 14-over-par (79, 79, 72). Lauren Wong competed in the tournament as an individual, carding scores of 80, 81 and 75 to finish tied for 36^th in the field of 66 golfers.
 
The victory concludes the Fall season for Harvard, who will now turn its attention towards training for its Spring Championship season that is set to begin in early March.
