CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's lacrosse more than doubled its donation goal this past weekend, raising $33,000 for Team IMPACT at its third annual Burrito Bowl scrimmage. Continuing its work with Team IMPACT, HLX set out to raise $15,000 for the organization, which it exceeded in just five days leading up to the scrimmage.
Harvard lacrosse has been involved with Team IMPACT for over three years and has been dedicated to fulfilling the organizations missions of inclusion, belonging, empowerment, and resilience.
Braxton, Harvard Men's Lacrosse Team IMPACT player, has been a member of HLX for three seasons after signing with the team before the 2021 season. Braxton has frequently attended Harvard team events including practices, scrimmages and games since joining the program.
The team also gathered on Saturday to volunteer at the annual Harlem Lacrosse Chumash tournament in Dorchester. The Crimson organized and coached three-on-three lacrosse games with youth players in what was an incredible event with Harlem Lacrosse.
