CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming off another exciting season in the Spring, Harvard men's lacrosse is back on campus and excited to begin its 2026 Fall Experience schedule. With eight events that include scrimmages, philanthropy events and more, the Fall slate will help the team begin preparations for the rapidly approaching 2027 Spring season. All these events are completely free and open to the public.
With the return of the fifth annual Burrito Bowl on Friday September 25, the Crimson will partner with Team Impact to continue to support their mission of inclusion. With the team splitting in two – Crimson and White - it will participate in a scrimmage against each other on Jordan field as they kick off their fall schedule. This event will be free for all to attend and will serve as the first look at the revamped 2027 Crimson squad. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and will run until around 8:30 p..m. Fans are encouraged to stick around until the end of the event to participate in a meet and greet with the team that will include pictures and autographs.
For the past three years, HLX has partnered with the non-profit, Team Impact, in their mission that connects children facing illness or disability with local college athletic teams, forming lifelong bonds and life changing outcomes. The collaborative efforts between Harvard and Team Impact greatly represent the goals and importance of Team Impact mission and purpose. Last season, Harvard Lacrosse welcomed in a new teammate, Oliver, to the program who joins the squad for practices, games and team events.
Harvard will get some game reps under its belt on October 2, when UMass comes to Jordan Field for a Fall scrimmage. This contest presents a sneak peek into what the team will be looking like once the 2027 season begins in February. Game time is s et for 7:00 p.m. and after the game the team will be interacting with fans, signing autogrpahs and taking photos on the field.
The scrimmage will also kick off a packed weekend for the program. The following Saturday (Oct. 3), the program will welcome back the 2026 senior class for the annual Alumni Scrimmage. The weekend wraps up with the 2026 HLX Awards Banquet on Sunday morning that will feature and recognize the notable achievements from last year's squad.
The premier event of the Fall will take place over the holiday weekend in mid-October as the Crimson is set to compete against the Navy in the 10th annual Bob Kemp Lacrosse Classic in the Nation's Capital. Head coach, Gerry Byrne and the men's lacrosse team participate in the event for the second time in his tenure after first appearing in the 2023 showcase. The team will get a full experience throughout the trip with different stops at monuments and museums in the area.
Harvard is excited to continue its partnership with Harlem Lacrosse this semester, when the two programs unite for the annual Chumash Tournament on Sunday, October 18. The Crimson has worked with Harlem Lacrosse for the past four seasons, joining the organization in its mission to make the game of lacrosse more accessible to young players around the Boston area.
The Fall Experience schedule will conclude with the fifth annual BBQ Bowl on Friday, November 20. The team will divide into teams of six to play sixes, a fast-paced format of lacrosse that include constant movement and action.
