CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 13 Harvard field hockey (7-3, 3-0 Ivy) plays Columbia on Friday at 6:00 p.m. in another Ivy matchup before hosting No. 14 Saint Joseph's on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Harvard wraps up the busiest time of its season after the pair of games at Berylson and shifts its attention to the remaining Ivy schedule. Both games this weekend will be streamed on ESPN+.
The program will host faculty appreciation night on Friday and its annual pride game on Sunday.
WHAT TO KNOW
- The Crimson racked up the awards this week after Bronte-May Brough and Avery Donahue won weekly honors. Brough and Donahue took home Ivy Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week while Brough also won NFHCA Division I Player of the Week.
- Harvard scored a season-high six goals against No. 10 Syracuse. The last time the Crimson scored six goals was in 2019.
- Tessa Shahbo made a season-high eight saves in the win over the Orange. The sophomore backstopped the Crimson defense as it stopped three consecutive corner attempts with time expired.
- Emily Guckian scored three times last weekend to bring her season total to six goals and a team-high 17 points. Held off the scoresheet in the first four games of the season, Guckian has tallied all 17 points throughout her six-game point streak.
- First-year Sage Piekarski also scored two goals over the weekend after finding the back of the net in both games. Piekarski has four goals in her last six games.
- Bronte-May Brough added her first-multi goal game of the season against Syracuse.
