CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 19/21 Harvard football game vs. Cornell on Friday night is moving from ESPNU to ESPN2. The contest is scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m. ET inside Harvard Stadium and will mark the Crimson's first ESPN2 appearance since it defeated Yale at Fenway Park in 2018.
Â
The Crimson, one of three undefeated teams in the FCS and the only unbeaten Division I program in New England, will play host to the Big Red after winning its first three games of 2023, including last week's 38-28 road win at No. 5/6 Holy Cross. Harvard is also 1-0 in Ivy action after defeating Brown, 34-31, on Sept. 22.
Â
The Big Red, meanwhile, enters the contest with a 2-1 mark (1-0 Ivy), following a home defeat to Colgate last Saturday. Cornell, however, opened its campaign with a pair of road victories, taking down Lehigh, 23-20, and Ivy-foe Yale, 23-21.
Â
Harvard comes into the game with a 50-34-2 all-time series lead vs. Cornell and has taken the last two meetings overall. The Crimson, which is 2-0 at home in 2023, has been good against the Big Red at Harvard Stadium, claiming the last 10 match-ups.
Â
Friday's contest marks the beginning of a two-game homestand, with Howard paying a visit next Saturday, Oct. 14. Tickets for both games are available at
