CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 21 Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving, fresh off a season-opening sweep of Cornell and Dartmouth on Saturday, will travel to New York to face Columbia (2-1; 2-1 Ivy League). The Friday Ivy meet is slated for a 4 p.m. ET start.
What to Know
- Harvard began its campaign last week at Blodgett Pool and defeated Cornell, 175-125. The Crimson's win over Dartmouth, meanwhile, was by a 202-97 margin.
- With its two wins last Saturday, the Crimson has now won 43 straight vs. Ivy League competition.
- Cole Kuster won both distance events in the opener, claiming the 1,000 free (9:08.43) and the 500 free (4:26.87). Will Grant and Marcus Holmquist also won a pair of individual events. Grant was victorious in the 100 back (48.12) and 200 back (1:46.02), while Holmquist earned wins in the 50 free (20.32) and 100 free (44.43).
- Adam Wesson enjoyed a nice 2023-24 debut, winning both diving events. After taking the three-meter crown with a score of 388.30, Wesson made it 2-for-2, emerging atop the one-meter leaderboard, earning a score of 362.40. Harvard ultimately went 1-2-3 in the three-meter competition and took the top four spots on the one-meter board.
- Harvard makes the trip south to The Empire State with a 72-5 all-time series lead vs. the Lions. The Crimson has taken the last 16 get-togethers.
