CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's squash picked up where it left off last season, flying to a 9-0 win in its season opener over Dartmouth tonight at the Murr Center Squash Courts. The top-ranked Crimson (1-0, 1-0 Ivy) started the season strong, earning seven match sweeps and out winning the Big Green 33 games to just two in the match.
Marina Stefanoni began the run at the top of the ladder, cruising to a 3-0 victory while outscoring her opponent 33-9 in the victory.
Amira Singh and
Serena Daniel earned the next wins for Harvard, picking up their first wins of the campaign.
Ella Galova and
Lucie Stefanoni added their first career wins in the matchup, flying to 3-0 wins in both matches.
Habiba Eldafrawy clinched the win for the Crimson with a 3-0 win at the second position.
Saran Gregory-Nghiem,
Molly Stoltz and
Brecon Welch closed out the win for the Crimson, earning victories at the third, eight and sixth positions, respectively.
