CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's and women's squash had 10 of its members honored with the College Squash Association's Scholar Athlete Award, which was the most in the nation for the 2024-25 season. Six women's and four men's student-athletes earned the honor after posting high marks in the classroom. To be eligible for the Scholar Athlete Award, a student-athlete must be either a junior or senior who achieves a high academic standing while also competing in the top 10 in their respective team's ladder.
This recognition reflects the CSA's deep commitment to the core values of college squash: competitive excellence, academic integrity, and personal growth. Scholar Athletes represent what is possible when passion for sport is matched by dedication in the classroom. These student-athletes model the discipline, focus, and determination that define the best of college athletics.
Emma Carney,
Habiba Eldafrawy,
Saran Nghiem,
Amira Singh,
Molly Stoltz and
Brecon Welch made up the six award winner from the women's team, who finished the year as the National Runners Up at the CSA Team National Championships. On the men's side,
David Costales,
Denis Gilevskiy,
Tate Harms and
Conner Stoltz earned the honor.
Harms, Eldafrawy, Singh and Welch each earned their second career Scholar Athlete Award after another strong year in the classroom.
The CSA places a high value on the Scholar Athlete Award as it embodies the dual commitment that makes college squash so special. Balancing intense training, team travel, and match play with the demands of rigorous coursework is no small task. Honoring those who manage both with distinction is one of the most meaningful moments of our season.
