Women's Water Polo Heads To Princeton for Saturday Doubleheader

PRINCETON, NJ – No. 18 Harvard women's water polo returns after a two-week break for a Saturday doubleheader with games against No. 13 Princeton and Iona at the Princeton Invitational. Harvard opens the weekend with Princeton at 10:00 a.m. before closing out the weekend with a 2:30 p.m. matchup against Iona.  The Crimson come off an undefeated Bruno Classic and a 7-1 start to the season as they resume competition. The game against Princeton will be streamed on ESPN+.

  • Evan Tingler took home CWPA Player of the Week honors after tallying eight goals and seven assists over the Bruno Classic. 
  • The Crimson return to play for the first time since Feb. 5 when they defeated Pomona-Pitzer and LIU. 
  • Alexis Kieckhafer led the way in the net after playing in all four games. 
  • The Crimson have started the season 7-1 for the third season in a row. 
  • Captain Grace Thawley has scored 13 goals so far this season. 
  • The Crimson has an all-time record of 15-44 against Princeton and 18-4 against Iona. 

Next Up

The Crimson return to Cambridge for the Harvard Invite next weekend to open the month of March. Harvard will play Wagner at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 4 before facing Redlands at 4:00 p.m. The Crimson closes out the tournament with CSUN at 9:20 p.m. before a rematch with La Salle to finish the tournament. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
