PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Harvard University baseball beat the University of Pittsburgh, 8-4, in game one of a doubleheader to gain its second victory over a team from the Atlantic Coast Conference in as many seasons before falling in game two, 11-3, on Saturday afternoon at Centennial Park.
Competing in games two and three of a four-game series in its season-opening weekend at the Snowbird Baseball Classic, the Crimson (1-2) rallied from a 2-1 deficit, plating seven runs in the ninth inning to top the Panthers (3-3) in the day's opener before Pitt scored 10 of the game's final 11 runs of the second contest.
