What to Know

 • Harvard women's basketball opened the Carrie Moore era this season with 7 nonconference wins and 9 conference wins to go 16-10 in the regular season. The Crimson will appear in their fifth Ivy League tournament this weekend and look for their first post-season conference win to advance to the Ivy League Championship game for the first time in tournament history.

• Head Coach Carrie Moore is in Year 1 after the retirement of Kathy Delaney-Smith, who was at the helm of the Crimson program for 40 years. Moore was named The Kathy Delaney-Smith Head Coach For Harvard Women's Basketball on April 6, 2022, and arrived in Cambridge after spending the 2021-22 season as an assistant coach at Michigan, helping the Wolverines to a 25-7 record and a No. 3 seed in the NCAA tournament. Moore also had assistant-coaching stints at North Carolina, Princeton and Creighton.

• Sophomores Harmoni Turner and Elena Rodriguez have had career seasons, each reporting career highs in multiple metrics and multiple double doubles throughout conference play. Turner has reported career highs in points (31), rebounds (12), steals (7) and assists (12). Rodriguez's career highs consist of points (28), rebounds (16), assists (5) and blocks (3). With her 16 rebounds against Dartmouth, she is the first Crimson player to pull down 15+ since Feb. 2020.

• In the team's most recent contest against Dartmouth, Harvard won 64-40 and was led by McKenzie Forbes with 22 points. Forbes has led the team in scoring in the last three games.

• Harvard is strong from three, recently posting a season high with 15 baskets from three against Cornell. The Crimson have two of the top three players in 3FG% throughout conference play, led by McKenzie Forbes in 1st shooting 48% and Lola Mullaney in 3rd shooting 39%.

• Throughout conference play this season, Elena Rodriguez leads the league in field goal percentage: she has shot 71-for-127 with 55.9% accuracy.

• Harvard has two of the top seven scorers in conference play with Lola Mullaney in third (16.8 ppg), and Harmoni Turner in 7th (13.9 ppg).

Lola Mullaney hit the 1000 career points benchmark against Yale, surpassing the mark as she made a shot from three. Mullaney is only the 22nd player in Harvard history to hit this mark and is well on her way to climbing the Harvard record books as she is only in her junior season.

• Harvard has made an appearance in all four Ivy League Tournaments since the 2016-17 season and will look to make it to the Championship game for the first time ever as they have fallen to an opponent in the semifinals each year.

• Harvard is meeting Ivy League competitor Columbia for the 75th time in series history, one in which Harvard leads 64-10. The Lions currently hold a 6-game win streak over the Crimson, winning both matchups this season. They narrowly won the most recent game in Lavietes Pavilion on Feb. 17, by a score of 75-70 as the Crimson began to make a comeback in the fourth quarter.

• Harvard's 2022-23 schedule featured 12 non-conference games before Ivy League play began. With a 9-5 Ivy record, Harvard is the third seed in the Ivy League tournament.
