Men's Lightweight Rowing Competes for Haines Cup This Weekend

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's lightweight rowing returns to the Charles River this Saturday for the Haines Cup. The Crimson will compete against Navy with guests Delaware and MIT Saturday morning. The race will be streamed on ESPN with the first race scheduled for 8:36 a.m. 

What to Know 

  • The Crimson check in at No.7 on the week three IRA lightweight poll. 
  • The lightweight team returns from Dartmouth where they reclaimed the Biglin Bowl last weekend. 
  • In the second varsity race Harvard got another victory via seven seconds and crossed the finish line with a time of 5:17.4.

Next Up 

The Crimson have another big matchup next weekend with the Goldthwait and Vogel Cups on Saturday, April 29. Harvard will compete against Yale and Princeton on the Charles River Saturday morning. The race will be streamed on ESPN+.
