CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard Women's Lacrosse (4-5) is set to host Stonehill (2-7) on Tuesday (April 4) afternoon at 5 p.m. on Jordan Field. Harvard will dedicate the game to raising student-athlete mental health awareness as part of Morgan's Message, led by team ambassador
Lizzie Francioli. As part of its annual Faculty Appreciation Game, Harvard will honor faculty members at halftime. The team will also host a postgame autograph session.
Harvard has won four of its last five games heading into the contest.

- A fast start and key late defense for the Crimson, aided by big games from
Riley Campbell (four goals, assist) and
Maddie Barkate (two goals, three assists, eight draw controls) helped Harvard earn a 13-11 road win at Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon (April 1). First-year
Charlotte Hodgson led Harvard with five ground balls and three caused turnovers (adding two draw controls) in a standout defensive effort. She was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts.

Riley Campbell (24 goals) are one of the most potent offensive duos in the Ivy League (No. 2 scoring pair in the league). Hem leads Harvard with 36 points (27 goals, nine assists), and 43 shots on goal. She entered the week leading the Ivy League with an average of 4.25 points per game and is second in goals per game (3.12) and third in total goals scored. Campbell is coming off one of her best games of the season, recording five points (four goals, assist) in the win against Dartmouth. She has recorded a career best 30 points (24 goals, six assists) on the season.

THE MATCHUP
A LOOK AT STONEHILL
Stonehill is the second NEC opponent that the Crimson will face this season, as Harvard dispatched Merrimack (20-2) earlier this season on March 22. The Skyhawks are led by senior attack Lydia Rudden, who has 43 points (13 goals, 30 assists) on the year. Graduate midfielder Emma Sullivan (21 goals, three assists) leads the team in goal scoring and is impactful on the defensive end with a team-high 12 caused turnovers. Stonehill has scored double-digit goals in all but one game this season.
SERIES HISTORY
Harvard and Stonehill will meet for the first time in program history, as Stonehill elevated all of its sports to Division I this past year.

HONG, JENKINS, LANGMUIR ELECTED CAPTAINS
Last fall,
Devon Wills, The Carole Kleinfelder Head Coach for Harvard Women's Lacrosse, announced that seniors
Stephanie Hong,
Shea Jenkins, and
Meredith Langmuir will serve as captains for the 2023 season.
Hong, a midfielder from Bethesda, Md., was an All-Ivy League Honorable Mention selection in her first full season of college lacrosse. An IWLCA Academic Honor Roll selection, Hong emerged as a regular starter in 2022 and was a key part of Harvard's efforts on clears, recording 27 ground balls with six caused turnovers and six draw controls.
Jenkins, a midfielder from Newburyport, Mass., is a two-time All-Ivy honoree, earning First Team honors in 2022 and Second Team honors in 2019. She led the team with 31 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers in 2022 and was a force in the defensive end. She added 26 draw controls and was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week on March 7 after Harvard's 9-8 win at Penn.
Langmuir, a midfielder from Providence, R.I., became a regular contributor in 2022, recording five goals in 11 games played, including standout performances in wins against Holy Cross (three goals) and Boston University (two goals). Langmuir is also an IWLCA Academic Honor Roll selection.
HARVARD AND PRINCETON TO BATTLE ON ESPNU
In its final regular season game of the 2023 season, the Harvard and Princeton will meet on April 30 at noon in a game that will be played on ESPNU, the network announced in early February. Harvard and Princeton are the lone Ivy schools that will open the season against ranked competition this weekend.
