David Abrahams has been named to the United States team that will compete at the 2023 World Para Swimming Championships, which are slated for August in Manchester, England.
A native of Havertown, Pennsylvania, Abrahams is one of 22 athletes on a roster that features 16 women and six men. The group was selected based on results at the Para Swimming World Series in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which were held earlier this month.
Abrahams collected two medals at the aforementioned meet in the Twin Cities and is returning to the international scene for his first major event since earning a silver medal at the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.
This past season, Abrahams was part of a Crimson squad that captured its sixth straight Ivy League title, helping the program become the first school in conference history to win six consecutive outright championships.
